Main Task - Contents Page Analysis

I have completed an analysis of the Contents page of the rock music magazine, 'Kerrang!', and have also begun to create my own contents page as a part of my main task.

I hope to incorporate some of the features I have noted in this page, as I feel that many of the features are quite reflective of the 'rock' genre.

Coursework Update - Progress

I have now gathered all of the images I will need to use throughout my magazine, having completed a photoshoot almost 2 weeks ago, and have begun to improve and adapt the specific images I have chosen to include on my front cover, contents page, and 2 page spread.



During the time since then, I have also begun to analyse the layout, and graphology of typical rock-music magazines, so that I may understand the typical conventions of this genre, in the hopes that my own designs will be influenced.


I should hopefully be posting the analysed magazine pages soon.

Coursework Update

Unfortunately, due to having the flu over the past few weeks, I have been unable to actively continue with my coursework, and have had little to update the blog with.

However, I have now begun planning out the layout of my main task pages, creating draft designs of the front cover, contents page and two page spread.
I have also almost completed the write up of the article featured in the two page spread mentioned previously; with the addition of one or two more paragraphs, the article should be completed.

Finally, I am also in the midst of organising a photoshoot for the 'band' which will be the main focus of the article, as well as being featured on the front cover of the magazine itself. I intended to complete this task over the half term, but was ill with the flu during the whole week, and so was unable to organise it.
The only current issue is finding a time when each member of the 'band' will be available to participate in the photoshoot, though this issue will likely be solved soon, and hopefully we will be able to find a time/date which we are all able to attend.
